I use an app called Opal and it’s made a big difference. I add a ton of blockers on my most addictive apps through the weekdays with small breaks that I allow for lunch time or night time.
I still do large scrolling binges, but I’ve cut down significantly on those little pickups where u don’t know why u open a social media app for no reason.
If you leave your phone (or laptop, tablet, etc) in your car turn it completely off. Car theives use tracking devices to find vehicles with phones etc and then smash and grab.
Enjoyed reading this Phil and I like all of your suggestions to disconnect from your phone. A lifehack I have implemented is to walk whenever I play golf and very rarely take a golf cart. This keeps me in the moment on the course, paces my play, and keeps me off my phone! Now golf = rucking.
