Congratulations on the Pearl Institute. Folks will be lucky to hire you.
This was good reminder of the magical nature of life and experience. Experience is all we have and so focusing on the current moment and cultivating healthy emotions is critical to overall wellbeing and thriving. Nice work Pearl!
I’ve love this. And, it can be applied to so many aspects of our lives.
A colleague suggested to me that if the media wasn’t giving a blow by blow account (and the world wasn’t closed) that we probably wouldn’t notice the pandemic. As a thought experiment this is interesting. I personally think we would notice. A strange sickness, queues at A and E and an elevated death rate.
But other things such as the Ukraine war. Would we know? Maybe we’d see elevated petrol prices? But that’s about it. Personally, I’ve spent so much time worrying about it and it’s totally pointless.
So, thank you for your article. It made me think. And, to remind me to focus on what’s important. As I wrote recently, avoid the news!
Thanks Ethan. This is a good one for the smart young’uns like you bc it is a reminder to just ignore all the new information getting spouted everyday and focus on the important stuff you are engaged with!!

Thanks Chan! & well said regarding experience. I just want to live well, laugh often, and love deeply.
Love the wisdom of this post, Phil. Would love to see you bind these posts into a book sometime.
Ha. Thanks Anne-Marie. It’s in the works. 😉
